If we read about the Spanish flu, we get two versions. The one broadcasted and the one we go find ourselves. That happens because history is only a perception. Lack any of that information and we don't have enough to make a coherent decision. Too much and we miss the forest for the trees.
The history of things has came a long way. And truth is still not defined by how many agree with it. We walk around today noticing no one in the way of re-opening these closed businesses. All that's really in the way is fear. A construct based on partial information dictated by a version of Germ Theory.
Hitler also said he was saving those that voted for him. No one can remove that from history. It's done.
Our favorite social sites/news stations are not on our side. It's just people with perceptions inside the confines of a job description..., using our information. Posts like "my eye color means this" are not just a way for the company to learn who the users are and sell them ideas or rarely an actual product.
Ex: If I'm a company that knows the political affiliation of two different people then I can use the algorithm to adjust when and what types of posts are seen. This can be done in the most loving of fashions too. All I have to do is grow-up learning only view of life. Now, if I play it right I can have someone vote in a way they normally would not. I could also use it to spread virus liars while labeling them an expert. I could do all these things believing I'm right the whole time. -Who are you, you would never know. You're busy living, working and raising families.
We often miss our own distractions.
