Books
I've made a set of five "If I was" children's books. The Turtle was the first and purposefully written, as per my 3-year-old little girl. The story originally a text message to her after she begged and pleading for weeks (she asked once) for me to write her a story about turtles. She said I could not have "were" in the title because she knows where the turtle is, as she's pointing to the picture on the page and the name at the top. In the cuteness of it all, I didn't really have the heart to argue..., so it was re-written, lol. Seriously, teach them the correct way that's no doubt, but like she said, "There's nothing wrong with a little pretend."
The film strip covers are a representation of a moment in time. For most of us dealing with troubling situations, our minds tend to sit and replay a single moment. It consumes you until the healing begins. The cover to Simply Poetry is my abstract view of the film skipping on the reel. A tree trunk portraying a strong, sturdy and grounded relationship. In it, I left poems and stories unedited, stress and heartaches can sometimes..., well you know.
There are three books on the back burner at the moment that I work on in my spare time. They are The Never Ending Spy, Mal Compris, and FORGIVENESS the Sam Kale story . In The Light I Write w/The Never Ending Spy Theme is a blank journal, where I keep all my best work. With an understanding of a problem or mystery a sort of enlightenment and you can fill yours with your very best work too.
If you want a sneak-peek of any back-burner ideas, check back later.
